Default Saving for GH

I am going to start saving up for a GH 12g 28'' damascus barrels. I want a straight stock and double triggers. I am not looking for anything in 99% condition, just something in good mechanical condition that I can shoot. Uncut barrels of coarse. How much should I save? What frame size do you guys recommend? I currently have a 3 frame 12 but I am looking for something lighter.

#1 frame with barrels less than 4 0 should get you down to about 7 pounds.

1500 tops. If some would come down to earth on prices that have been setting on auction sites for years maybe they would move them the straight stock may add a small premium. JMHO

Between $800 and $1500 will buy you a fine GH shooter.

Straight grip is somewhat rare in this configuration. If I had a GH, #1 frame, 28" Damascus gun in reasonably high condition with no color, original butt and straight grip, it would be more than a $2000 gun. Sorry about that. You should go to Winter Vegas next month, spend at least two days. Anyone at that show is there to sell guns, not to play the gunbroker game.

Funny you mention that. I will definitely be there Saturday maybe Friday since I live 10 miles away. Thanks for the info I hope I have the money before the gun show. I know the straight grip is harder to find but I have grown to love the look of them mostly because of this site. The Parker bug is definitely contagious.

If I lived within 10 miles of the Riviera, I would be bankrupt from buying underpriced fine guns. It is a wonderful place to buy guns.
