Could anyone tell me any info about a parker shotgun with a serial number 8847? Do not have the barrel. All I have is the stock and trigger gaurd. Thanx

The stock and guard you have, shown in another post you started, is not for a Parker. It is for an LC smith. You may want to inquire with the smith group on that.

Parker Brothers serial number 8847 is a STRAIGHT GRIP 12 gauge underlifter with 32” twist steel barrels and your stock and triggerguard is NOT FOR THAT TYPE OF PARKER BROTHERS SHOTGUN. I would tend to agree with Mr. Dudley’s opinion as to the type of shotgun your pictured stock is for. End of story

Well based on your post and subsequent photos, it seemed inconsequential what 8847 was as those photos were not of a Meridan Ct Parker Bros. Shotgun of any confufuration

Charles Parker’s (founder of the Charles Parker Co of Meriden, CT) middle initial was NOT ‘H’.

In fact, he did not have a known middle name or initial.
