the squirl season hopen next week end for us boys up in old miss in the north half of the state deer with bow also starts...gota load up some shells for the 8 ga mite need the 8 for those fuzzy tails in those tall trees..looking forward to squirl camp and listening to all the stories told...charlie

Are the squirrel tales in Northern Miss taller than they are in Central Ga. They can tell some pretty good lies (tales) around here.

i do not know if they can tell taller tales than your boys over in georgia it would be close...got my spot picked out for the opener..there is some pecan tress and walnut trees and some chesnut trees...charlie

The season opens August 15th in Georgia and I saw a black fox squirrel laying in road dead yesterday fox squirrels are rare in my area. Bobby

i too have seen black squirls down in the mississippi delta but we do not have any up in north miss...always wanted a black squirl mounted but heh we cannot have every thing....charlir

I took this picture a year ago or maybe two a couple of streets over from my house.

So I guess when you mate a black squirrel with a white squirrel you get a gray squirrel - right?

And I found this one dead in the street in the same area a few months earlier than when I took the picture.

I'm waiting to find a black one in the street and I will send them both to Scotty so he can mount them boxing or shooting pool...
