No fotos- fair price??
What might be a fair "ball park" price for this older hammer gun, after further inspection- $200???

i doubt anyone can tell you that without inspecting the gun
would you pay $200 for it just to hang it on the wall?? personally - mirror bores in any old gun- especially a lower grade one- makes me worry about honing. what is the minimum wall thickness? i won't pull a trigger on an old gun without knowing that

Not ba wall hanger
Re-checked this gun today, and bought it- 30" uncut barrels- mirror bores, heavy a breech as miked- no dents or dings- no rust- and suspended them by lug with bungee cord and tapped each barrel from breech to muzzle and back with a 7/8" dia. wooden dowel- rang like bells- tight lock up at breech, snap caps with masking tape over dummy primers and dry test firing shows A-OK- original uncut butt-stock with intact 20 LPI checkering- ditto forearm, good straight dims w/o the usual 4" drop as sometimes seen on older guns $300 even money- will miked the chambers and start with some BP paper black powder loads- 2.5" 7/8 ounce no 7 shot and go from there-

Will have to get a computer camera
Then I will get some detailed photos as you requested. How do I post them to this Forum site?? Also went to my 1954 edition of Stoeger's page 223 which details both Frenvch and Belgian proof marks-- Shows 18 and all thye provisional and final proofs- - no "perron" stamping, which means the lugs were forged with the barrel breeches E&L show leige proof House- inspector's marks, etc. also numbers on lower rib starting at about 6" forward of the hanger loop- which also has stampings on the flat or "face" area- Water table is also stamped, and the matching serial number from the barrels is the same- Pat'd dates are Mar ?? April 14 and June 26 1882--FYI--

-- Are you any distant relation to the late German painter and Museum curator (Tolde0 OH-- Edmund Osthaus. We have one of his paintings in our den- great detail, and a man who hunted and shot, and did it in style indeed. What is the model and style of the "plug-In" you mentioned, and can I get one at Radio Shack, so I can post the pictures here- Thanks!!
