Default L.C. Smith Questions

Looking for info on this SXS L.C. Smith, Serial 99986 12 Gauge 30" Barrels, Nice Wood, Impulse buy as I know very little about the history of L.C. Smith Shotguns.
Any info will be appreciated.

This was the lowest grade offered..OO Grade...1898-1914..Someone spent a bunch on wood !..I have an ejector 16 in OO Grade..

The gun has been restocked and also “torch” colored on the locks by the look of it.

The OO was an early veraion of the field grade.

Enjoy it. My vent rib, 32" OE, about the same as the 00, is a wonder gun that I shoot once a year at the Carlisle, PA L.C. Smith shoot in March.
