Default B Grade checking

Was there a standard checking LPI on B grades or above?

Yes there was but Brian should tell us what the LPI count was. Most grades were checkered with their own LPI counts. As the grade went higher the LPI count went higher as well.

No. There was not.
Within each grade I have found that there can be a good amount of variation in the spacing of the checkering from gun to gun.

Ie: i have seen GH grade guns with as course as 20 lpi and as fine as 24 lpi. Thr same with Ds. Generally speaking I have found that earlier guns have finer checkering vs later guns.

For a B grade I would say that no courser than 24 lpi would be correct.
