I sold it for 6K "buy it now" on GB, just to get my money back out of it and let someone else enjoy the bargain. I dont regret selling it at that price. No way is a shooter VH 28ga worth twice as much as a repro 28 ga. JMHO
Been cruising gun boards for 20+ years and I have never had an opportunity to buy a V-28 for a fair, let along great price.

Well, at his current reserve, half that would not be a great price.

A very nice $1600-1800 gun that needs about $5500-6000 worth of work.

How do you define "fair" or "great price"? Small bore guns in good condition always bring big money no matter if it's a Parker, Winchester, or Fox. Years ago I lusted for a VHE 410 skeet gun and would have paid the price of a new car for one. I found a CSM Fox FE for a lot less. Not a collector gun but still a very nice gun.

A couple of years ago I purchased an all original 70% CC
VHE 28ga 28" from Mid South Guns for $12,000 and feel that is a fair price. This one-$ 3.5-$4.5.

David, I think you did exceptionally well on that deal!

Did they have a new guy on the counter that day?

Yes,OO frame and actually I purchased it from Phil.
He was making up for another deal where an all original 28ga two barrel set turned out to not be legit. I am fortunate to also have a VHE 28ga, OO 30" SS all original with 75%CC. Next to the Parkers I found an AYA top grade 28ga ejector made in 1940, unfired.Love those 28ga but my absolute fav is the Parker 28ga ,30, SS hammer gun, obviously not original
