That's a very nice case and Parker set! And that is one beefy ball grip - extra nice!

Is the second barrel set Twist, or Plain Twist, or Stub Twist?

Default Dad's Case

My Dad built this case in the 1960's. He bought this two barreled VH 16 locally. Being the swamp Yankee he was, the case is a recycled cut-down box that he outfitted with mahogany blocks to hold all in place on his trips to New Brunswick for early woodcock and grouse season, long before the season opened in Connecticut.
I recently had the interior lined and rebuilt to protect the gun. It has 28 inch original Meriden Remington barrels and 26 inch Ilion barrels. Marked 1 and 2. The gun was originally sold by A&F in NYC.
Yeah, I know its probably way too fancy for a V grade but if my house was burning down and I could only take one gun with me this would be it. Yup, I would leave the DHE's behind, even the 410.
he was damned proud of the gun and so am I. And the case.

Yes, the ivory container has a spare set of strikers and have a custom walnut cleaning rod coming that fits next to the top barrel.

Ok, At the risk of boring some, here are the two that I did for my 2 grade 2 hammer 16s.
I'm thinking about one for the grade 3 12 gauge.

Very nice Edgar. You have an eye for detail.

I'm impressed with your chairs too - they are beautiful.
Do you have the complete set of just the five we see?
