Default Need help!!

[/B]The Fox nut needs a bit of help with Parker info! I have run across a well used DHE 30" 20 gauge with 3" chambers that doesn't appear to have been altered?? The serial number of the gun in question is 197180 and it is from the West Coast. I need a bit of info/help from the Parker experts concerning the 3" guns that were found on the West Coast back in the day. Thank You for your help with this unique request. Life is Good, Treat it With Respect!!

Tom, if you have The Parker Story, there is explanation there about some of these 3" 20's from the Widgeon Duck Club and other California Inland Valley clubs. These are sought after guns, and condition varies widely. Some are identified by SN in TPS. If you don't have TPS, and need help, please advise. Everything I know about them is from TPS. I do know that there are a bunch of aftermarket lengthened chamber ones out there.

I suggest you contact Chuck Bishop and get a letter on the gun, if correct, the letter should tell about chambering.

Tom, even the original 3" guns were often made on #0 frames, so the frame size is not neccesarily a clue. In that serial number range, no original owner or order information is available. The stock book information will often give chamber length specifications, at least in some eras, so get a letter in the hopes of finding out about the originality of the chambers. Our new research person, Chuck Bishop, lives in your neighborhood, so you are in luck.

Tom, You mention a 30" gun. The Widgeon guns were 32" guns

Mr. Kidd,

I own a 32" 20 ga DHE on a #1 frame that has 3" chambers. appears to be correct and unaltered.
Over the past 10 years I have seen a total of 3 others like mine and one additional gun that was a 30"er.
All of these were in serial number ranges similar to yours.
I do also know of a 30" 20 on an O frame with 3 inch chambers but is a V grade.
They are out there. Sounds like a great gun. Enjoy.

Tom,
I also have a 32" DHE, 20ga. w/ 3" chambers which I purchased from a guy in CA. The s/n is a little later than yours, but I also have a VH 20, 30", 128ooo range with 3" chambers, all verified by a letter.
