In May of 2013 I was emailing with Larry as I had bought some stuff from him on GunBroker.
There were only 500 1895 catalogs printed- that's it. 500. The numbered ones went with numbered book sets that were put out at the same time. If you have an 1895 catalog that is numbered, it has probably been separated from its book set.
I had 3. One was numbered, two were not. Edgar now has one of the un-numbered ones.

It looked as if he was fishing to sell the catalog and other books without being a member. That was my take on it.

Now I recall that Larry Baer embossed numbers on his books when the customer paid for all three books on his initial order. I still have my paperwork and will confirm that.

Neither of my Vol I or Vol II are signed or are numbered.
I still haven't located my salesman's book... I know it's around here someplace.

As I recall the numbered book sets had the same type of cover material. But I am very old and don't remember so much.

Mine are completely different.
Vol I is smaller and lighter in color and Vol II is dark brown leather grain.

Jeff,

I was on the forum and followed the dicussion regarding the Baer reprint. I spoke to Larry several years ago at Vegas regarding

unnumbered books, and he told me " at some point I lost track of what number I was on, so I did not number the remaining copies".

I currently have 2 copies that are not numbered, along with a couple of volume 2"s also not numbered. So, straight from the author,

I believe it to be true!! I am NOT very computer savvy, and do not know how to respond on the forum, hence this message to you.

If you will pass this info on as neccessary, I would appreciate it .

Thank You,

Ed Parker
