Default The 2016 Raffle Gun

This year's Raffle Gun is a 12 gauge VH on a 1 1/2 frame with 28" Vulcan Steel barrels. It has a capped pistol grip, double triggers, and a splinter forend. This Parker retains approximately 40% case color. At the moment the chokes are unknown but someone who has handled the gun may tell us how the gun is choked. This gun will make a great, nice condition shooter for some lucky person! Buy lots of tickets guys!!

Dean,
Are you sure about this?
Mills,
Ed Morgan has the gun and can reply to it's specifications. The 2016 Raffle will continue to be drawn at an event later in the year to allow sufficient time for tickets to be sold. The 2016 Annual Meeting which was announced in the last issue of Parker Pages will be held in March which would be too early for the Raffle drawing.

Agreed about the Annual Meeting in March as being too early Jeff.

Ed supplied me with the pictures and the gun's specifications.

Hello Dean,

The serial number looks to be 223557 and it looks to be original by the serial number book. If your raffle team is interested I will donate a Parker letter for the gun to go with it.

Let me know.

Dean,
Sorry I should have quoted my response. I took it from another post of Larry Frey's.

You may purchase them at various events. Sometime this summer Ed Morgan will send
all members a packet of tickets to purchase. You can also contact Ed for tickets.
They are $5 each or 6 for $25 I believe.

I have to disagree with my friend Dean as to the percentage of case color on this gun. I don't believe he has personally seen it yet and the pictures he was given just don't do it justice. The gun is in very high original condition especially for a gun of this grade. Members attending Pheasant Fest later this month, the PGCA Annual Meeting in Baltimore next month, or the Spring Southern in April will have a chance to handle the gun and purchase tickets. It will likely be at other events throughout the year and the winning ticket will be drawn later in the fall at an event of the Boards choosing. Good luck to all those that purchase tickets.
