Pic #11 looks to me like a photo of the engraving on the trigger guard, which looks like it was re-blued along with the barrels. It also looks like the skeleton butt plate has been blued too?
In photo #22 of the forend, what are the holes in the iron where it would meet the receiver? |

Those were my thoughts, but I had not seen, or had it pointed out to me. Appreciate the information. Neat place to blend it in and I bet it's not easy to see with the naked eye. |

All Parker ejector (only) guns have those two holes.
It definitely looks like a DelGrego/Runge upgrade. I'll bet 222,888 is in one of the 'lost' books. .

It was done very nicely but not like any other graded Meriden Parker that I've seen.

That SN is certainly Meriden, however, the barrels show the SN location ala Remington, and Meriden would not have stamped the bore choking. (In fact all the barrel stamping seems Remington) There appears to be a V on the right barrel flat, which I might expect on an upgrade (Too bad the seller didn't include a photo of the rib inscription) so it seems to me it was re-barreled AND upgraded. I like it more than any upgrade I have seen, despite the wood.
