Default 1900 GH Forend Checkering Pattern:

This 1900 GH forend checkering pattern is different than what I consider standard. It's not the normal bow tie pattern. Do you recall ever seeing this style checkering? It just seems odd to me. The checking runs into the border also. There was no underside view available.

I’d say it’s not original.
Lots of forends got snapped in half and not all of them went back to Parker.

I suspect that it started life as the "standard" pattern and when someone recut the checkering they filled in the sides.

Pattern's been filed and filled in. Looks like a late Utica Sterly pattern. Huh?
