John Michael is Mr Edsel Hemmingway's grandson so yes he is still working at Backwoods. This time of year he is involved with the deer hunters at the club.

John Michael is a magician with a shotgun. I've seen nationally known and televised exhibition shooters that work for Beretta/Benelli. etc., and they can't hold a candle to John Michael at his best. I've seen him do unreal things with a shotgun ................ straight a round of skeet from the hip in 60 seconds .............. straight a round of skeet while riding a bicycle, shooting from the hip with one hand .............. smoke skeet targets 10 ft. from the low house with the gun upside down and over his head. He's crazy good. I asked him once why he didn't compete. He said it costs too much money to compete.

I suspect it's more about cutting into his hunting time.
