Default A Nice VH

Here's my only Parker...a 12 ga VH grade on a # 2 frame with 30" mint barrels, built in 1901. Chokes are mod and a tight full. I was told that this one was probably restocked and recased by JJ Jenkins back in the 70's. I use it now for Trap shooting with the local SXS Society.

Thanks, Mark! I finally got around to taking a few pix of this one...

Does anyone have any info on JJ Jenkins? Looks like he was pretty good on double guns.

Robert,

J. J. Jenkins was a gunsmith here in Santa Barbara, CA during the 1970's. I was working in Santa Barbara at the time as a Deputy Sheriff. I may be wrong but as I recall he was working out of a gunshop called Cy's Gun Shop. He did do excellent work. I have no idea what became of him as I left the area. I will check with some friends to see if they remember any more about him.

Nice VH with some dressing up.

The gun was restocked for sure. The short BTFE, rounded cheek panels, fatter grip and chcekering pattern are clear indicators. The comb is nicely done.

The case colors are great!

I wouldn't be the least bit embarrass carrying that gun around and neither would my dog ( If I had one).
