Now do we have any suggestions on a vintage style shooting-sporting clays vest ? Is there even such a vest available ?
Randy:

A while back, to get the discussion going, this is what I had proposed for something in a suitable garment to serve as an adequate “canvas” for America’s Finest Gun Club Patch.

All possible, thanks to Destry, a proven accomplisher.

Two patches? Makes sense.

One serves as a “user”, proudly worn on a vest at the range or in the field; another framed for display (but never in direct sunlight) in gun room or “man cave”.

Future generations will debate the value of the original-condition, never-worn patch, versus the one with honest wear for which there is provenance connecting it to an identifiable early 21st Century Parker gun enthusiast.

Default parker patch

Wow, wow, and wow. Brilliant colors on the patch and a fantastic surprise to take it out of the envelope this afternoon. The specks started showing up last week on the neighbors and there are about twenty honkers flying around in the mornings. So, fall is in the air here in California and this patch shows up at the right time to get the feeling of hunting season started.

Need to get the boot room in order, guns out of the safe and on the racks, and get this patch displayed to set the mood.

Thanks very much Destry; the almonds are at the huller but have not been run yet. They will be shipped when done. Again, thanks for your efforts.

Dropped the patch at the frame shop today for a custom treatment. It will take about three weeks to get done. I'll post pick when I get it. Now to get number two on a shooting vest.

Again, thanks Destry for taking this on.

I did the exact same thing today myself. My better half told me that it was going to be expensive. She was correct. Supposed to take about a month. I will report back with pictures also.

Yup, good work is not cheap, Oval chamois double mat with archival non glare glass and ornamental woodwork frame. Came to $200 but well worth it. As they say, a thing of beauty is a joy forever.

Been slow to update here, trying to do a bit of traveling before winter hits. I've got payments in hand from:

Benny Keith
Scott Hanes
Robert Dombeck
Corey Barrette
David Gehman
Mark Sjoberg
Greg Schroeder
Keith Zynda
Mike Spurlock
William Grill
Ralph Ricci
K. Doty

We're already past the three week time frame but I'm going to give it a bit more time since I got a couple payments in just today. If your name isn't on this list but you've sent money please let me know. This makes 15 which is what we needed to do the reorder so we're set.
