Congrats !

The years I pursued Grouse I was never able to attain a double . Heck I think I can count on my hands the number of times I'd killed one bird and even had a fleeting chance for a second

When I first read this I thought it said "Double of Famous Grouse" and I for one am all for that.

Congrats, I have done it once in 50 yrs of grouse hunting. Tell us about your gun, and one more thing, do you actually hunt the dog with the goggles on, and why-just curious, I'm an eye doc

Yes we hunt the dog with the goggles and she wears them when riding. . Keep debris out of her eyes and protect those corneas. The gun isn’t anything special, a VH half pistol grip with cut barrels, not much in the letter, just a small Georgia hardware store gun!
