Dean,
So you just bought an Ithaca and I just bought a Fox. What's this world coming to?

Yeah but... you just bought a Parker too, so that negates your crossing the line.

C'mon Deanno!!! There's no use trying to fight-off the Fox bug!! Just slide your right foot across those tracks. Not nearly as traumatic as the rumors suggest. A sweet little 20b Sterly w/kickers and those "pats" will fold out of sheer admiration!

What a coincidence. Here's a favorite 20b Sterly w/kickers I used up in the mountains today. Next to last day of the PA grouse season and heavy snow is predicted for tomorrow. And today's hunt was after a quick stop at the Credit Union and post office, and sending off for a PARKER smallbore that a good friend found for me. SORRY TOOLMAN ..... no details on the incoming Parker right now. Just keeping things on the QT - same as you do to me. You know what I mean.

Flushed one grouse late this afternoon down a spring run where I flushed 6 or 7 in one batch, on a cold & snowy day hunt just before our deer season kicked off. It was a decent opportunity today but I didn't shoot ..... Happy New Year, Mr. King!

Here's the spring run that's usually a hot spot when that white stuff falls.

I'm feeling so left out. I haven't bought a shotgun since the Fox 16 almost a year ago. That's out being restocked for use this fall. The last five or guns have all been rifles

Researcher, you are so correct as always, ser # of the 4E 16 is 448827.
Frank, you probably would have hit that grouse with a Parker.
Rich, that Fox should be the envy of all Parkerphiles when you get it back. Be sure and post pictures in the Custom Fox forum when you get it back.

Harold,

Apologize for sliding off the tracks a bit. Congrats on your wonderful, new Ithaca. Love the treatment on/around the fences. Darn nice looking stick of lumber and a 16b to boot! Good luck with her.

Steve, I was born off track--I don't even try to get back on anymore.

Back on track. Harold's gun is of course a NID and a very nice one. The No. 4 engraving is my favorite and it also seems so in artwork by Ithaca's marketing folks. Here's an advert dated September 1904; I presume that's a Lewis Model that's pictured here.
