Default Safety slide spring

I know that Parker used two different styles of safety slide springs. Does anyone know approximately when they switched from the original style to the new style, by serial number range. Or does anyone know where I can look this up at? And will they interchange?

Thank you.
Regards,

I am not familiar with the different styles of slide springs, but MAYBE it is related to the change to the low profile safety button. The top lever was also shortened in this change. This happened later in the Hammerless manufacture.
