Default Idaho Rooster

My son and I took a good walk today and managed one nice rooster before the wind and rain sent us for cover. We had a great time!

Hi Dean,
The short gun is a late Remington VH with 26" barrels. It really does look like a skeet gun but is actually mod/full which is a bit unusual. My son has been shooting a 20 ga with short barrels for the past few years and has now moved to 12 ga guns and likes these short barrels.

Hi Dave,
Yes, he is growing up fast. I suspect by Christmas I will be known as "shorty".

Hi Charlie,
I sat down and looked at the color on this bird and was just amazed. We parked the truck at an old farm and there is old iron and implements everywhere. It is like time forgot this place. I suspect everyone who chases upland birds finds places like this. We are blessed to have many open places like this to enjoy.
