The hunting is what makes the season bearable.

They have yet to top the thread a few years ago where they were accusing each other of being closet anti gunners

Personally, I consider the entire site to be a Russian sleeper cell...

I've been active whenever I see something I want to respond to. I've been hunting four days a week. I like to feed my dogs, clean the guns and then look at this site. It's a ritual for me. I look every day when I'm not traveling. Jesse and I hunted hard today but only took one grouse. We are hunting again tomorrow. I absolutely love being retired and back in the old family home close to my coverts.

I’ve got four more days of pheasants and six for geese. Not quitting quite yet. The season has been relatively mild for NW Iowa in winter. Guardedly optimistic.

It's -30F up here Dean; that slows everything down! Spectacular sunrises are the most exciting thing going. Here's one from Jan 5 looking out my southern window. It doesn't rise very high and doesn't stay up for long, but it sure is purty while it's up. The mountain in the center is over 15,000ft high and is 95miles away. Here's an earlier one from January 5 where I captured perfectly a DC-6, likely loaded with 2500gal of fuel in bulk tanks, clawing for altitude as it climbed over our ridge on it's way to some remote village to the west. I love the rumble of those struggling radials as they go over! They're like a pacemaker to a pilot!

The days are growing longer Richard. A sunrise like that surely holds as much of God’s promise as a rainbow does.
