Default Is this a parker buttstock?

I found this in my fathers gun cabinet upon his passing. I have no clue what it belongs to. The brass shield seems to indicate a parker? It is not very large and had a tang sight which made think it was for a small caliber rifle. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For sure NOT for a Parker. Cannot really begin to say what it may be fore without seeing the inletting.

Yup, that is the inletting for a Remington Model 12 pump .22 LR, but that stock didn't come out of the factory at Ilion.

Take the sight off the stock and search it for model number and brand. It may have some serious value.
