I have owned many Repros, still do, and I have never put oil in one of the bottles or found oil in a bottle of a gun just purchased.
Its jsut a decorator item!

Do the Repro oil bottle caps have an applicator rod attached?

Every oil can that I've seen that had oil in it leaked. You won't catch me putting any oil in any of my oil cans They are only there to make the case look complete.

Dean, the one bottle I have, has an applicator, albeit metal ?

Snap caps all marked and included.

No cleaning rods in any

My Repro from Gunsunlimited came without oil bottle or snap caps during the closeout. They sent the snap caps soon after like they promised. I bought my oil bottle from Mrs. Shrum at the Nashville Show. It was the last one she had. The proper rods are Parker Hale and can be bought from various vendors. Don't let the metal parts of the rod contact your gun.

I purchased a Parker repro 12 in 1992 from Jack Skeuse. It did not have an oil bottle so I bought one from him. It is marked Parker reproductions, the stopper has single lines Left to right ///// like this and say made in england on the bottom of the bottle. I also read on another site that the guns were lost in a flood in Ringos which is not true. They were stored at one of their facilities in Bound Brook. N.J.
