left bracket IMG -in caps and a right bracket =[IMG]

then the same URL for the photo you posted ie http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3...r/IMG_1862.jpg

then close with the left bracket a slash, IMG again and the right backet

I'm wondering what happened to the bottom rib of the grade 2 gun? It looks like it has broken or fractured right close to the extractor rod.

No, it's not broken or damaged, it's the glare off the extractor rod, it's perfectly fine. I've looked both these guns over hard and I can't find a thing wrong with either one. Here are the specs.
EH 30" R barrel is .755 L barrel is .747 14 1/4" X 3 1/2" X 2 1/4" to a dogs head butt

Hammer gun 30" R barrel is .760 and the left barrel is .760 also. 14 3/8" X 3" X 2" to a dogs head buttplate. Both guns have spurs in the buttplate.
