Default First Trip to Hausman's

Just returned from my first trip to Hausman's. I don't know what made me decide to take a 11hr and 45min. drive but is was definitely worth the trip. The best part was being able to put faces with the names from the forum. After many conversations on the phone I met Dean Romig and Gracie. Also Kenny Graft, Alan McLane, Frank Srebro, Steve Cambria, and Kevin McCormack. I know there are a few that I have forgotten already.
A huge thank you to Brett Hoop who took on the chef responsibilities and did a top notch job at the get together on Friday evening. I was looking forward to meeting Edgar Spencer but Edgar was not able to make the trip.
As usual I shot very well on Thursday and Friday. I decided to shoot the Main Event and the same scenario happened. When I shoot for score you might think I am a beginner. Either way is was a very enjoyable trip. Thanks to all.

It was as usual, a fun time at Ernie's with great weather and I certainly had fun shooting with you Tom. I would like to second that opinion of Brett and Alan's ribs and beer. You guys went above and beyond what I expected.

Trust me on this, Tom. I know the guy personally, and you would have been disappointed.

As many have written and fretted, northeast PA has gotten way more than its share of rain last year and continuing thru this spring. It was nip and tuck going into Hausmann's but the event weather was very nice and mostly sunny starting on Thursday afternoon. That was a nice "window". Well, today we'll be getting 2" of rain starting this morning into tomorrow.

When I said I was looking forward to meeting Edgar his answer was '' why do I owe you money '', just goes to show the length and breadth of his store of material. When you do meet him I think you will find it worth the wait. And yes he is paid up.

My first time too -- only 5 hour drive. Well worth it -- great people. I'm looking forward to getting back there in the fall for the Vintager Gunner's Cup.
