a R quality is the letter designation for a 0 grade 10 gauge hammer gun. I just picked one up as a project. My third 10 was going to be hammerless, now maybe my fourth will be.
Im 21 but I get that quote
well I could always get a cheaper hammerless 10ga and buy a parkers 10 ga hammergun . my bonehill probably counts as a project gun it has a slight wobble to the action and pitted right barrel. But she shoots fine for the money .But on my second 10 I decided I wanted something nicer and put my money on a edwinson green hammer gun with a beautiful brown Damascus pattern . I like every old 10 ga sxs(not the Spanish ones) I see that is shootable just about .

OH , your barrels look like mine . I wanted to get them refinished but figured it wasn't worth it on a 500$ gun and found a better grade with already nice barrels .
Wasn't stub twist made from weaker materials like horse shoes ? this is just what ive read

The seller says its 1 or 919 made and it has excellent bores . doesn't look like different to me though then the lower grades . I like the wood on the 0 grade better it has a reddish color . it will be probably 2 months but I notice alot of these guns have been up for sale for a long long time . I think though the 0 gradw would be a good gun the have the barrels refinished on since it already in decent shape . the L1 is in decent shape but it somewhat plain looking for the price imo
