Default April 2010 Parker of the Month Contest..

"Spring is springing, buds are budding and Parkers are popping....".. (?)

Well, you get the idea...

It's time, once again - for the submitting pictures for the April 2010 Parker of the Month - all who are registered to the Parker Forums are encouraged to participate.. Until later this month (April, if my calendar is correct ), please post your pictures in this thread (and only this thread!). I will close this thread on or about April 28th - and post a new POLL so folks can vote on their favorite "Parker of the Month". At the end of the poll - the winning picture will be shown here:

http://parkerguns.org and be reserved for the month of April 2010 when (if??) we do a Parker Calendar.

The Ground rules are simple.....

Please post up to FIVE of YOUR (sorry - they MUST BE YOUR PHOTOS!) pictures in this thread.

We encourage you to enter even if you only have one photo that you like, as folks will be looking for "that Parker Quailty" that defines "Why we do this", so that one photo could be a winning photo. Those my be of a Parker, hunting scene with a Parker, still-life or even an action shot.

Members may comment on the photo entries in the photo contest thread and leave nice comments about other images in the thread if you feel the urge to do so. BUT - please do not post any photos in this thread that are not intended to be entries. Pictures NOT posted as entries will be deleted from the thread.....

Good luck and have FUN!

John

Asa, that was probably one of his first times looking for a hen. It looks like his primaries are hardly dragged off yet. Nice job! If I didn't know better I'd think he tripped over that blowdown and bumped his head on the ground - you show up with a gun and a camera....

I like Asa's choice of gun. Here's my 132 year old PT 10 with its bird 4-21-08.

“Spring is springing, buds are budding and Parkers are popping”

Around my neck of the woods early April still looks like winter.
I tried to capture this picture as if it were taken in the early 1900’s.
Not sure if I accomplished that, but I tried.
The Parker GH was made in 1900; the old rotten stump may be close to the same age.

The annual shooting events are upon us with the Southern just days away - then Addieville East Farms in R.I. in May, the UP and Hausman's Hidden Hollow with the Vintager's and the PGCA Annual Meeting & Banquet and several venues in between. These events are just one more reason these Parkers were made. This was taken at Pintail Point last September.
