Default Shortening 12 ga Brass Cases

Has anyone made (or bought) a jig to shorten brass cases to 2-1/2” OAL? I have about twenty like new Alcan cases that measure 2-5/8 to 2-3/4” to process. Thoughts appreciated. Note, I don’t have a lathe or shop like Larry Potterfield’s, so suggestions like “start with a piece of 2” bar stock...” won’t be very helpful to me! Thanks.

Unless you have a 2 1/2" chambered gun why shorten them ? Any extra length can be used for glue or more shot. You could check the diameter of a case mouth, chamber it and close the gun. After pulling it out recheck the case mouth to see if the gun squeezed it smaller. Just a thought.
