Default Spring is here

Getting ready for osceola turkey season.Just picked up some trail cams yesterday and birds are right on schedule.Looks like it will be a good season.Had birds on all cams and but got a lot of standing water right now.Won't hurt the birds just limit where we hunt.

Turkey hunting, my favorite! I even hunted southern Florida, around Palm Beach on huge management areas (50,000 to 100,000 acres), for five years from 1999 to 2004, but the heat and the sand finally got to me so I swapped out Florida hunting for southern Tennessee, near Pulaski, which I hunted for seven years. Their season starts a month later, but the temperature and terrain more to my liking.

Every year I came down it went to 85 to 90 or a bit higher, first week in March. Friends I made there said I brought the heat with me.

Here is where the turkeys have been, but I don't have a trail camera set up on them yet.

It's spring here also. I'm looking out the window at snow flakes coming down that are the size of a quarter dollar. Turkey season starts mid April we may be able to get into the woods by then.

Well we did have to endure a few freezes this year.Got all the way down to 30 degree's for a couple hours several mornings.
Actually it can get cold here but hasn't in a few years.
