Default G Grade Top Lever

I recently purchased a G grade with Damascus barrels; very happy with the shotgun. When storing the gun in my case I would prefer to have the Top Lever in the neutral, un-openned, position. How do I reset the Top Lever when the gun is broken down?

Thank you.

David

push down on the "Parker poker" little tab that sticks out below the bolt while holding the top lever over, then let it close.

Hold the top lever to the right and push down on the lever in the pic with a pen or a small screw driver, does not take much. This will release pressure on the top lever allowing it to go to the center position.

Tripping back the lever is VERY important on any double as to avoid damage. Especially when shipping a gun.

Parker hang tags (which were originally on each gun when new) had instructions on how to trip back the lever for storage.

Right on...I always store my shotguns, even my modern break guns, with top lever tripped back.
