Default Lifter - Grade 1 Damascus

I finally had a chance to take my new to me 10 gauge lifter to shot sporting clays this morning. It's a 10 gauge on a 2 frame with 30" barrels. I posted about this gun when I got it, the Damascus barrels are numbered to the gun.

I shot a mix of black powder and smokeless loads. It shot well with both. Chokes are tight, I think I probably did better with the black powder shells. I did make some crazy long shots with the smokeless loads though, which was fun.

I had an orphan set of 12 gauge 2 frame barrels that fit the gun surprising well. I shot a round with those barrels and it did a good job breaking clays as long as I did my part.

I think I remember that one from Gunbroker. I thought it was a grade 2 and wanted it to fill that hole in my grade 2 collection. Looks like a great gun and better than the Gunbroker pictures

Yes Mills, that is the one. The pictures I posted when I first got it were taken inside. These guns look so much better in natural light. The only thing I had to do was replace a firing pin.

Jay, nice gun. Was it that clean when you bought it or did you have to restore it in any way

Allen, That is just how the gun was when I received it. That was a one of my better GunBroker purchases, meaning no surprises and the gun was nicer nicer than I expected. The gun is tight with no mechanical issues and shoots very well.

Robert, Thanks I should have taken a picture last weekend when I had 1 box of RST shells and the rest of the space I had filled with all brass shells loaded with black powder. That looked good!
