It's 9 degrees without the wind right now. The dogs stay out just long enough to get their job done. So if I understand this right hunters release birds at their own expense and must wait 48 hours to hunt them? Kinda like a reverse put and take proposition. Can anyone hunt these areas even if they didn't release the birds?

There is a lottery for 4 spots in each 8- 2 day hunts. Each winner is allowed a guest. So there would only be 8 hunters total to cover about 1000 acres. I'm not convinced that it is "legal" to place birds as I have yet to find anything in the WMA's rules.
