Default 10 ga

just recieved a 10 ga lifter ..it has had the barrels cut to 28 inches so no choke.it is marked plain steel on the barrel flat..its the lowest grade made in 1875..it has not been shot much in very good condition the serial no is 4794 it shoots very well will kill a dr pepper can at 40 steps every shot i killed the limit on cans this evening with 25 shots fired and no misses...so plain steel barrels will shoot ok with low pressure smokeless shells...charlie

Charlie how long do you think the barrels were before they were cut?

i venture they were probably 32 inches..i have a twin too it that is a 10 ga with the plain steel insciption on the barrel flat and the barrels are 32 inch on it..the serial numbers on both guns are close together i will have to get it out and see how close they are this evening...best i can tell the PLAIN STEEL INSCRIPTIONS were all made in the year of 1875..charlie

Charlie, if there are any stagecoaches in your neighborhood, you might can get a second job in security with your 28" Ten. Jim

Charlie just get you a part time job as a guard on the chain gang, I am sure they have them down in your neck of the woods, heck I believe in Georgia they still wear black and white stripes. Then you get paid and rent the ten gauge to them too! and if someone runs you can shoot something other than a Dr Pepper can. Maybe this post is a little harsh? whatever Gary
