Great picture Chris. Jack is growing Up. It was pleasure to meet Jack last fall he is one polite young man that any father would be proud of.

Old dogs and kids have their day. Glad it all came together. I am sure you and your grandson will never forget the moment. Circle of life and its many paths and events never stops and sometimes the magic comes together at the right time, at the right spot and perfect company. This sounds like a story Ruark would have written about. Thanks for sharing.

Well today was a different story , jack had a day off school for the Remembrance weekend and asked to go on the barrens ... it was tough going for the boy but a couple extra cortisol kept him going ,the wind was howling and when Benny found two of these the right barrel of the Parker won the day ...take that Elsie !!!!

Great picture Chris. Wish I was out their with you. Walking the barrens last year chasing Ptarmigan was one of the toughest hunts I have ever done, yet one of the most beautiful and satisfying.

Precious and too few no matter the number. Great to see you are sharing with him things you value, and that young man is almost certain to inherit your values. And that is a big deal!

Well,I should added Lefever to the competition list !

I don't have time for it but I tried to squeeze every ounce of the rememberance day weekend out ...we put up 8 birds ,Benny was fantastic my buddy managed to scratch one down as well...click and enlarge the first pic and look real close

all that moss ,think ankle to mid shin deep bog,with slimey windfalls mixed in to keep it sporty ....i'm going to need new knees and hips I just know it !!!
