Default 2019 Distinguished Service Award

It is time to begin thinking about which PGCA Members you would like to see recognized for their outstanding contribution of personal time and effort for the good of the PGCA. Everybody knows at least a few members who should be recognized and awarded publicly for their dedicated work for the benefit of all other members - the PGCA as a whole.

To Nominate your selections of members you want to be recognized simply go to our "PGCA Home" page and in the column of links at the left, click on "Awards and Recognition" then in the Distinguished Service Award section click on "Nomination Form and Submit".

You may nominate as many members as you wish but you can only nominate a particular person's name once.

Thanks very much for your valued participation.

The member number can be found for each member in the PGCA Membership Roster sent to all members with the Fall Issue.

Thanks Dean
I reviewed the Honor Roll list and two things struck me:

A lot of these people are "ghosts". They are literally or figuratively dead.
A lot of the recipients are still contributing heavily.

Is there a limit to how many times a person can be a recipient? I frankly can think of some people who should get it every year.

I’ll review the rules George. You make a good point however.

In reply to George Purtill's question above -

A member can indeed be awarded the Distinguished Service Award more than once.

Bear in mind however, we tabulate nominations going back for three calendar years - so for the 2019 award we count nominations from September 2016 onward.

For This, the 10th Annual Distinguished Service Award - Nominations will end on Friday, Sept 13, 2019 at midnight.

You may nominate any number of members that you wish but you may only nominate one person one time.

For Instructions on how to make a DSA nomination go to the opening post for this thread.

Just two more days friends in which to make your nominations of those outstanding members whom you believe should be recognized for their 'above and beyond' actions as members of the PGCA.
