Dimensionally, yes. When it comes to making the gun function. But you run into other areas that may not work well which are more of a cosmetic concern. But you may run into that anytime barrels are fitted from one gun to another.

I have a couple of #1 12 to 16 gauge combos as well as a 1/2 frame 12 to 16 combo. I've been very lucky.

I have some 1 frame 16 gauge barrels on a 1 frame 12 gauge receiver that fit just fine. I imagine the reverse would be true with the right barrels and right receiver. As others say, these guns were handmade, so there is a lot of variation
