Default Craig's List China cabinet..

Finally got around to the finishing touches on my gun cabinet conversion. I bought this on Craig's list for $150 delivered. I stripped the inside...Made top and bottom rack cutouts..carpeted the bottom, and felted all the cuts..There are 3 deep drawers and 3 lower cabinets..Crystal knobs from a junk store..The Parker's are all O frame guns..LCs are FW 16s..and a Philly Fox 16 and an Ithaca 16.There is room for literature and handguns..The Remington's are a set of 3 500 Series X guns. I collect .22s .These cabinets seem to be cheap. I saw a nice on Monday for $199 asking. As soon as I talk my wife into letting me have the family room..I'm buying a couple more..!

How many does it hold? Nice work on bringing something back to life!

Great place to display some (lighter weight) guns!

After I measured it out..It holds 13..up to 30" barrels. My 32" VHE 16 didn't make the cut !. I don't think there is any worry about the weight of 13 guns +. This thing is built very sturdy..

Back in the 1970s my father converted his glass-front gun cabinet, that stood to the right of the fireplace in the home I grew up in, into a curio cabinet and moved all his firearms to a more secure location.

Nice job. That reminds me of the gun cabinets they have at the Tuckerton Seaport, in the Hunting Club display building behind the Seaport Museum building. It’s all set up with period gear , etc. one of the cabinets has the guns displayed vertically, the other horizontally. I just checked their website this morning, they’re currently closed due to Covid, but have events listed from July 4th on, hopefully they’ll be able to have the Decoy Festival in September.
Take care,
Tim.
