Default Confusion in the Elk Engraved DH article in Parker Pages

A beautiful gun and excellent pictures but I am confused over the appraisal letter labelling it a DHE. Am I missing something?

You may have missed that they were strong and well timed, too!

It would appear that we can find an editorial faux pas in almost every issue.

My apologies for not picking up on that obvious contradiction.

Dean, I believe the "editorial mistake" was made by Vintage Firearms.
The DH is a beautiful condition gun with "floorplate style engraving" on the side panels.

Thanks Bill. I agree with the "floorplate style engraving".

Dean, no faux pas on your part. You do a wonderful job that most of us, me particularly, could not do. Bill

The Bills got it exactly right Dean - you do fabulous work with PP, the only faux pas here was the appraisal letter.
