Default Pierre, SD

Monday October 29. This was a guided hunt but all wild birds. I couldn't post in "Hunting with Parkers" because I was toting my 16ga Fox A Grade, but I got a limit anyway

Phil,

Looks like a great time. I hope you are ready for KS opener. I'm not hearing great numbers, but I can't wait.

Ken,

Looks like I'm gonna miss the KS opener this year. Came down with plantar fasciitis a couple weeks before SD. Cortisone and PT got me ready to go but the week up there just about wrecked me. I'll be out and about but not this weekend. Hope you have good luck! Where will you be hunting?

I dont think they would kick you out for that Phil. I have my sweet little Fox A 16 in the truck today, I finish up at noon and will take my 2 young setters out for their first exposure to pheasants( released).
They both did great in the UP on grouse , and I have no doubt they will do it again today on pheasant.
I've got to get my pics downloaded on that trip.
I will have them in Kansas in a few weeks, along with my A Fox 16, GH 16, VH 16, and Ithaca 4E 16.

I had my Sterlingworth 16 along as well; my nephew's DeHann 12ga O/U went south on him (trigger was moving but gun not firing). I did mention to him that he might want to reconsider his decision to drive 1200 miles to hunt but to bring only one gun . So he carried my Sterly. I think he's in love, though he did cuss the double triggers a time or two .
