I actually had a tragedy a couple seasons back. I had a Model 11 with a home made magazine tube that ran clear to the end of the barrel. I'd actually put a plug in it so I could hunt with it a few times. Was shooting down in Mississippi and the weld holding the tube onto the bored out magazine cap gave way, shooting the magazine about 20 yards out into a deep water cypress brake never to be found again.

destrey thats about the sadest duck hunting storey i ever heard..i too was once duck hunting with a lefever 10 ga.i shot at a duck when i unbreached the gun i heard something fall into the water at my feet it was theopening and closeing lever...i reached down into that cold water feeling very carefully around my right foot and found the lever...it would still open and shut the gun but would fall out....got it fixed several years down the road...charlie

My Parsons magazine holds eight with one more in the chamber. Once, a member on one of the shotgun sites volunteered that he had a Parsons that he would sell, but we never got together. The Parsons is briefly mentioned in Shirley and Vanderlinden's excellent book on the Browning A-5.

There are two lengths of Parsons.

I've got two of the long ones, one just the tube and one complete with spring and retaining cap.

Really like those model 11's....hope you get that one out and shoot it a little even if only on targets...very cool gun! I found an old beat up D grade 11 I am getting back into shooting condition...new spring and brakes as well as a good cleaning....had a badly cracked forend I Acraglassed back together but it broke again in other places...will have it shooting again soon....enjoy yours!
