Default An interesting VH 10ga Twist

There is a VH 10ga with Twist barrels posted by a major dealer on the Internet serial number 176958 (not in the serialization book). The serial number falls outside of the known VH 10ga Damascus guns 173953 to 173962. Never say never!! Another one of a kind??

VH or PH

looks a little extra engraving

more like my PH 10 - sn 144964 - which I think letters to 1917 about the time they change NH to PH for the 10s

PH.

If it is advertised as a VH, then it is incorrect.

Well Charlie - not a one of or really rare

but according to TPS - combining NH and PH 10's

there were only 107 32" top lever grade 1 10s with stub twist barrels and another 608 with twist barrels (mine included) - since the PH designation came late in the life span of these grade 1s - i bet there are not all that many of them out there
