Default DH checkering

Hello,
I am restoring a 10 Ga. DH and I can't find any border on the grip checkering. There is a border on the forearm checkering. Did Parker use border less checkering on the grip of some guns? Also does anyone make a border cutter with a concave shape as used on Parkers? The checkering is 22 L/In.
Regards
Preston C

The grip pattern has borders.

The borders were not very deep and they are the first thing to wear.

There should be a border all the way around EXCEPT at the rear part in the crotch of the grip.
Seeing a border here is a dead givaway that the pattern was recut by someone who doesn't know Parkers well enough.

Gunline makes a concave cutter. But it has to be used in conjunction with other line cutters. I like to use a 26 line per inch triple spacer. Then run the concave cutter down the center line.

DH checkering can vary from 18 lines per inch to 24 lines per inch. Depends on the gun.

Hello,
I have installed a 1 1/2 in silver pad and am interested in a pad cover. What does one get with the Galazan black goat leather product. Is it just the leather or has it been cut and sewed or molded to a pad shape? What other pad cover options are on the market?
Thanks in advance.

It is a rectangular piece of leather. Dims are on their site.
