Default Puppies will be Puppies

She's almost 14 months old now and I thought we had got over the "chewin'" hurdle but I was a bit premature in my hopes...

Grace took full advantage of my forgetting to take my whistle lanyard that Chris Dawe had made for me about a year ago from her 'kennel' area behind the front seat of my truck. Can't really blame the puppy for this one - after all, the leather was a bit sweat-stained and must have been delightful to chew on....

Chris - I'll be needing another one. I'll send you the remnants of this one to use in the making of the replacement. I'll PM you to get your adress.

Every good hunting dog chews up something like that. Hope she has done it now and does not do it again. Gator dug a hole in our Chinese rug

Jolie likes the taste of paper, checks that is, she's two years old but the other day megan brought in some takeout food and set it on the coffee table well 1 minute and it was in her mouth, and she was wanting to play keep away with the bag, a rolled up newspaper slapped on my hand did the trick, never touched her with the paper but you should have seen the look on her face, she's afraid of that paper, Gary

Bea likes to get hold of the tag end of a toilet paper roll and go charging through the house.

Dean Her littermate tober chewed all the corners off a 25.00 bamboo bench last winter- as planned we sold him at 10 months as a started grouse dog. I warned the new owner and showed him the bench. He replied Your dog did that ...Hes mine now. Just last week I heard from Tobers new dad. He chewed up the stock on a grade 4 Ithaca... I guess his dog did that eh?

My Wirehair, Eva, would never chew a whistle lanyard or a gunstock, unless they were made of paper towels or grass.
