Default RIO Low Recoil Loads

Anybody tried them? They make a 1 0z at 1135 fps, a 7/8 oz at 1200 fps, and a
3/4oz load at 1375 fps (all 12 ga). The wad is bright blue so you can see where you are missing. Would be handy for me, but not necessary for Daryl Corona--
he doesnt miss.
May not be appropriate in damascus guns

I have shot several flats of the 7/8 @ 1200' in a 12 gauge and I am very impressed with the low (no) recoil as well as the lack of muzzle blast. I have some very similar 7/8 reloads that I have loaded for a few years but I cannot even come close to the lack of recoil and muzzle blast this RIO load has. I have not tried the other loads.

Thanks for the compliment Harold. But... I can miss them just as easy too.

My buddy picked up by mistake the 3/4 @ 1375 and the 7/8 @ 1340 and they will beat you. Somehow he managed to include in that order the 7/8 @ 1200 and they were wonderful to shoot. I'll never understand the need for speed when dealing with shotgun ballistics.

Daryl I agree. I have shot the 7/8 @ 1340 and they have a little pop to them for some reason. More than I care for.

In my experience I find RIO shotshells the cleanest burning of any made. You can shoot a box or even two and barely need to clean the bores. Their hulls reload very well also. They don't split like some Remington and Winchester hulls. I haven't shot their light loads but the 7/8 1135fps load sure sounds intriguing for especially light damascus guns, and especially when I run out of 7625.
