Default dove hunt

today was 2 nd day of dove season we did not hunt yesterday it being on sunday....i got up at 4.00 am fixed my breakfast and filled my cooler with water bottles a 6 pack of sprite and topped this off with ice...i loaded up the sideby side with my 2 guns a parker 20 ga and a stevens 410 double....loaded my shells and seat and took off..got to my hunting spot which was under the power lineunloaded and had about 30 minutes till shooting time....it turned out to be a really slow morning not many shots fired i only got 2 doves that morning....we only dressed 30 doves for dinner....but what a dinner we had chicken- doves goose quail squirl deer was on the plates.....we probably had 75 people at the dinner....we went back to the field at 3.00pm we had a really good shoot that evening i killed only 5 birds.....i found out one thing i could not see those doves my grandson and others would be shooting and i could not see what they were shooting at....my wife said i ve told you to wear them glasses now i know....most of the shooters got their limit this evening....i shot a parker v grade 20 ga with 27 1/2 inch factory barrels useing no 8 winchester 7/8 ounce loads....just never got around to shooting the 410......charlie

Very good Charlie! SC season opened September 2, but no birds in our regular haunts. Hoping the hurricane blows some in our way.

For guns, I want to take them all, but really want to try out a GH 16 on 1 frame with factory 26" barrels and a GH 20 with factory 28" barrels

Thanks Charlie! We are still hoping for a good dove hunt. I did go out and mow some paths in the woods for quail. Need to get a supply of released quail lined up now
