Default Turkey Hunting

Thinking of using my Damascus GH for the Michigan spring Turkey season.. What would be a good load to use for Turkey?

you can use the rst loads of no 6 shot or the no4s.what gauge gun will you be shooting and which kind of powder black or smokeless-...charlie

12 gauge 30" full/full.. Only thing I've ever shot out of it are RST 2.5" lite 7 1/2 shells.

No reason that won't kill a turkey if you can get them in under 30yds. and center their head.

I have the same gun and I also am planing on using it some. I have been shooting the Winchester Super Speed #6 shot 2 3/4" in it. It does shoot tight for sure. Good Luck.

if you decide to shoot rst i would get the 1 1/4 ounce loads.... i too shoot the damascus barrel guns in 10 ga a ph hammerless gun ive shot plenyh of 2 7/8 length shell with the 1 5/8 ounce of shot...even put3 inch 12 ga loads in it at turkeys useing gauge mate shells..a few 1 1/4 ounce field loads have never hurt any of my old parkers with damascus barrels...charlie
