Eric, I think it's even newer than that.
There is a post-war series of Francottes that are superb, begining with the Knockabout, then 20, 30, 40 and 45. All were box lock guns, though the 45 looked like a side lock, but with false sideplates. These guns don't bring huge money are are vastly superior to any they are turning out now. |

Dean, picture no. 5 is the other gun that Quality Arms sold, I just posted the photo because of the similarity as it appeared to be of the same era and has the same barrel markings.

Doublegunshop.com has a subsection of the website that has a chart of fine gun serial numbers, versus dates of manufacture. Francottes are included in that list.
