Default 2 Frame GH gets a workout!

Edit Here, Thread Title was supposed to say "3" Frame!!!

A good friend called last week and let me know that Suki, his white lab needed only 11 more retrieves to get her 1000th. She got her 500th two years ago at my place, and Greg hoped she could hit her 1000 mark out there with me.
Well we gave it a shot yesterday morning, but fell two shy of her mark. We may try Wed. morning. Notable failure of the day was a whiff on four Canvasback Drakes that set up on our spread......DRAT! I did most of the shooting, as Greg wanted to work Suki. What a great dog...she made no complaint about being covered with Palm Fronds between shots, and she didn't move a muscle. The old early 3 frame GH-12 performed admirably.
Blue Wing Drake, Full Plumage Wigeon Drake, 2 pair of Spoonies, 1 Mexican Mallard Drake and a pair of Black Bellied Tree Ducks.

Default Grizzled old hunter

Mark great pic of you in your element. Nothing like an old parker on a duck hunt. Since I haven't shot a duck in 3 years I hope this weekend in Ms will remedy that. What a dove hunt I had last Sat in Hondo! My daughter and a friend of mine had Whitewings pouring into 60 acre sunflower field. About the fastest bird shooting I've ever had. Finished off my limit with my new little Turkish SKB 410. Truly a nice little 30" barreled package. Looks like season about over but it's been grand. Hope yours as well. David

RST 2 1/2” lite bismuth 6’s 1oz. I shot my limit of six with 11 shells. Killed all but one stone dead. Let 2 loose with no visible effect on the Cans...musta been nerves. We see Cans maybe every 4 or 5 years at this place.

Yeah Mlls, this gun weighs right at 8 pounds, and with the RST lites, there is little felt recoil when wearing layers especially.
