The one gentleman asked about my Parker and said he remembered a group of guys coming out around this time last year that were all shooting older doubles. When he commented on all of the *#@% talking that was going on, I knew it had to be you guys. I told him to expect us at the end of April.
That would have been us...

This is not intended to detract from the fine shooting venue at Drake's Landing but only as a reminder to those who plan to shoot to qualify for the PGCA vs. LCSCA Challenge Cup that the qualifying schedule will be very tight and you should be ready to shoot when it is your time to do so.
Also a reminder that Bill Kempfler has given so much to the PGCA in the way of Deep River's hospitality such as a very expensive tent at no charge at all along with so much more. We should remember to support him and his generosity by shooting at Deep River too. Through our taking advantage of the various shooting venues at Deep River we help him to recover his costs of supplying us with these things at no cost to the PGCA.

People can shoot where they want to but we hope that you all burn a lot of powder at Deep River too. Thanks guys.

I will certainly be burning powder at both places. Can't wait to see your new hammergun Mike. Bill K. does a fine job and we appreciate all he does for this event but Drakes allows me to burn way more powder. See you at 0900 Rich.

The clays at Deep River have just as much to fear from me that weekend as well.

Dean, we were not trying to take away from Deep River but one day on a course that is not crowded and has many stations to shoot is a nice retreat from waiting in lines at the Southern. Don't worry we will burn powder at Bill's place too it just nice to have a different venue that is more laid back.

Linda rented a golf cart for the weekend. How long a drive is it to the Drake facility from Deep River? I understand that carts are rented by the day with unlimited mileage, but I don't want to overextend my welcome. Linda's son in law drove a John Deere lawn tractor from his house to our house, about four miles. I figure that's about the limit for a lawn tractor, but a golf cart is probably good for about ten one way.

Bill I think the distance would tax the golf cart, you should take the car.
