I just joined and am looking for a repro for mainly pheasant hunting. Are most of the 12''s over 7 lbs.? I'd like to keep it under. around 6 3/4 or so.
I don't see many 16's. weren't many made? What do I( need to do to see the guns for sale here?

Thanks

I'm pretty sure you have to be a PGCA member to get into the for sale threads.

Only PGCA members can get to the "for sale" page. One of the advantages of becoming a PGCA member. Also, members get four issues of the Parker Pages magazine and reduced cost of Paker letters on your gun, if documentation exists.

To join, go to the PGCA main web page by clicking "PGCA Home" at the top of this page and then click the "Membership" link on the left side of that web page. Follow the instructions and you will become a member.

I hope this helps!

Welcome to the forum Kurt!

A 12-ga. Parker Repro that weighs about 6 3/4 lbs. will almost certainly have 26" bbls. and a splinter forend -- they are out there. In my experience 12-ga. Repros with 28" barrels will weigh right around 7 lbs. or a little more. Virtually all 16-ga. Parker Reproductions are part of 20/16 bi-gauge sets, reportedly there were 500 Krieghoff 16-ga. barrel sets added to 20-ga. guns to make up these bi-gauge sets and sold as 'factory'. In addition to these factory sets there were an unnamed number of 16-ga. Repro barrels sold and marketed by CSMC. Having said this, I have seen a 2-bbl. set of 16-ga. only Repros -- how this and maybe a few other of these 16-ga. only sets became available is anyone's guess.

Can you still buy 16 ga. barrels from CSMC. I do have my eye on a 20 ga.

Their website says they're "Temporarily Sold Out" of them.

There must have been a tremendous demand at their offered price on them when this listing last appeared in their Catalog #18 in order for them to sell out:

I'm assuming they won't be available anytime soon. I don't imagine 20 / 16 guns show up for sale very often. I guess i'll have to look for a 12 then.. do most guns have cast off? unfortunately I'm a lefty and cast on guns seem rare.
